What You Can Expect as We Open Under COVID-19 Restrictions and Circumstances
As we reopen under COVID-19 restrictions we want you to know what you can expect. It is our intent that you are not surprised when you get to our venue. First there will be a limited number of cars allowed and a limited number of fans allowed. We will reduce restrictions as conditions allow. As we start on May 16th here is what you need to know.
Race Team Limitations and Registrations: Cars will be limited to 100. If you have been to our pit area you may be thinking “that is a lot of cars, how will we keep spaced out.” However, not knowing COVID-19 would hit us in 2020, we were already making more room for extra cars in our pit area over the off-season. We have opened up more parking and can hold 100 cars even if we only use every other parking space. Race teams if you park to close to another team we will ask you to move (even if you are already setup). You will need to leave a full trailer width between you and the next team. It is important that we follow the physical distancing guidelines. Also, with limited cars allowed we will use online registration to reduce confusion as to whether or not you can get into the race. A link to registration will be posted on our website and Facebook approximately 1 week prior to the race and will include priority registration details. Race registration will include car, driver, and 2 others. A new item for 2020 is Annual Race Team Membership. All race teams will need an Annual Race Team Membership to race at our venue. Annual Membership is not required for Practice on May 9th. This membership can be acquired thru MyRacePass using the following link: https://www.myracepass.com/tracks/2150/registrations/2414
Grandstands: Fans will be limited to 400 Adults and 200 18 and under. Our Grandstands hold 2,000 fans. Allowing 600 we will be at approximately 30% capacity if all tickets are sold. This will allow for proper physical distancing. Families may sit together. All fans and families should keep a minimum of 6’ separation to other fans and families. Until we can get back to normal we have increased the 18 and under price to $5. Tickets will be available online up to race time. If you purchase your ticket online you will need to bring proof of your purchase along with a photo ID to redeem your Grandstand Tickets. If additional space is available you will be able to get tickets at the grandstand gate the night of the event. To start the season our concessions will be closed and you may bring your own snacks and beverages (no alcohol). When we reopen our concessions we will no longer allow outside food or drinks.
Rainouts: In the event of a rain out your Race Registration or Grandstand Ticket will be good for the next similar event scheduled (Weekly show good for next weekly show, Special Event good for next Special Event). In some cases the track may decide to refund all online purchases. In the event of a refund, the card you used to purchase the registration or ticket will be refunded. This is not an individual customer choice between “good for next similar event” and “refund.” The track will decide based on upcoming events and amount of time to the next applicable event.
Race Team Payout: Until we understand the new normal we will be using a variable payout scale. Payout for each race will depend on the number of race teams and the number of fans in attendance. We will post 4 scenarios on our website for Race Teams to review prior to registration. These are scenarios only and each race will be calculated using actual attendance numbers on the night of the event. We will return to our regular predictable payout as soon as normalcy kicks back in or we find our new normal. We realize this is not an ideal situation. However, we are concerned with being here for many years to come and feel this gives all of us the best chance of sustaining the race track. Race teams please strongly consider the different scenarios before registering for an event. We understand this may not work for all our teams. We hope we can return to normal soon!
