Bailes cruises in Summer Kickoff at Modoc Raceway

Friday night found Ross Bailes in action at Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, N.C.) for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series-sanctioned Gaston County Shrine 100. With time trials results placing him on the pole for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Bailes faded three spots in the 40-lap affair to register a fourth-place finish. The following night at Modoc Raceway (Modoc, S.C.) for the E-Z-Go Summer Kickoff, Ross topped the 14-car field in time trials, which positioned him on the front row for the main event. Leading all 50 laps, Bailes cruised to his third win of the season over Cla Knight, Brent Dixon, Anthony Sanders, and Jordy Nipper. He earned $7,500.
