NOS Energy Drink USAC National Midget Series Brings Midget Madness to Merced Speedway to Open Thanksgiving Week

(PETERSEN MEDIA- Merced, CA)- For the fourth consecutive season Merced Speedway will open Thanksgiving Week with the NOS Energy Drink USAC National Midget Series headlining a two-night Midget Madness program next Tuesday and Wednesday night.

As the stars and cars of the National series make their annual November trip to California, next week is their final week of the 2023 season, and Merced Speedway will again host the series for two nights of action, culminating with a Midget/Winged 360 Doubleheader on Wednesday night.

The action does get underway on Tuesday as the NOS Energy Drink USAC National Midget Series headlines the card with the IMCA Sport Mods and the Hobby Stocks also scheduled for action.

Wednesday night’s Thanksgiving Eve show again features the NOS Energy USAC National Midget Series, and they will be joined on the ¼ mile bullring by the Winged 360ci Sprint Cars in what is the third and final appearance of the season at the track.

Some of the national stars expected to be in attendance Tuesday and Wednesday night include Buddy Kofoid, Logan Seavey, Ryan Timms, Justin Grant, Daison Pursley, Tanner Thorson, Thomas Meseraul, Jade Avedisian, Taylor Reimer and a host of others.

Tickets are available online at mercedspeedway.net and will also be available to purchase at the front gate.

Tuesday night prices will be $20 for adults 18 and up, Juniors 11-17, Seniors 55 and up and Military with ID will be $18, Kids 6-10 will be $5, and those young fans 5 and under are admitted for fee.

Wednesday night Adult tickets will run $25, Juniors, Seniors, and Military (with ID) will be $23, Kids 6-10 will be admitted for $10, and those fans 5 and under will have no charge.

The Sprint Car Challenge Tour muffler rule for the Winged 360’s will be enforced, and it allows drivers to use the Flowmaster 53545-10 with turndowns, the Spintech Superstock 1000 #1545 with turndowns, and the Diamond Schoenfeld. The program will follow all SCCT race rules as well.

Tuesday and Wednesday night the pit gates will open at 2pm and the grandstands will open at 5pm with racing slated to go green at 7pm.
