Marshfield debut a success 'in its own way'
"There was a lot of rust to be shaken off" said Slack regarding his midwest modified debut at Marshfield Motor Speedway. "I had to learn a new car on a new track with about 5 total practice laps. But man, was it fun!"
Slack qualified 5th, finished his heat race 4th, and had a minor incident during the feature that ended the night early. "I had a good run on the 4th place car, when I went to go under him, he sorta bobbled and checked up, that's when we made contact, and I turned him around." The contact resulted in a broken tie rod for Slack. "After the race we agreed it was a typical racing incident, shook on it, and parted ways with positive attitudes. I can't wait to race there again."
The next scheduled race at Marshfield for Slack and his crew is June 30 at the Salute to Soldiers event.
