Lindsay Barney Conquers Madras With WSS; Headed To CGS On Saturday May 19th

The Wingless Sprint Series would venture to Madras Speedway on Saturday, May 5th for their second race of the 2018 season. A dozen cars would make the journey to the Central Oregon ¼-mile oval. It would be the first of two scheduled trips to the facility.
Eagle Creek’s Lindsay Barney would capture the victory to become the second different winner in as many races with the WSS. It now places Lindsay in a three-way tie for the most wins with the series.
Rob Lindsey, of Sherwood, was second, followed by Salem’s Tim Alberding, in third. Lance Hallmark, out of McMinnville, was fourth over fifth finishing Jake Gilman, from Forest Grove.
Heat race winners were Lindsay Barney, Tim Alberding, Rob Lindsey, and Beaverton’s Wayne Van Raden. Rob Lindsey was victorious in the Trophy Dash.
The Wingless Sprint Series heads to Cottage Grove Speedway on Saturday, May 19th. It is the second trip to the historic ¼-mile clay oval in 2018 and Rob Lindsey won that bout.
Kyle Miller has four career wins with the WSS. All four of those triumphs have come at Cottage Grove since the series started visiting the historic ¼-mile clay oval in 2016. Cooper Desbiens and the aforementioned Rob Lindsey are the only other feature winners when the tour has visited CGS.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gate 3:00, Qualifying 5:00, and Racing around 6:00. Ticket prices are Adults $13.00, Junions (13-17)/Seniors (62+)/Military $10.00, Kids (6-12) $5.00, and Children (5 & Under) FREE. For more information log on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com.
