Upcoming 16th Annual Steel City Stampede Details-Event Information
Sarver, PA (October 3, 2024) The Action Track will roar back to life starting on Thursday, October 10 as the 16th annual Steel City Stampede kicks off three days of racing, camping, live entertainment and more! With 10 divisions of racing plus our final Enduro of the season, two fantastic bands delivering live music, a comedy night and karaoke contest, this year's edition is poised to be our most complete weekend in event history. And, new for 2024, the weekend doesn't stop with the final checkered flag on Saturday night as the inaugural Geibel Fest "Day of Destruction" makes its debut on Sunday, October 13 with two types of Demolition Derbys, a non-winners 100-lap Enduro, double Figure 8 racing, Boat and Trailer racing and much more!
The action starts on Thursday with our Test & Tune night featuring rotating hot laps for cars from all divisions giving drivers an opportunity to prepare their machines for the weekend ahead. Then on Friday, October 11, heat races for all divisions, less Enduro cars, plus time trials for the ULMS Late Models and RUSH Late Models will hit the track as we sort out lineups for Saturday's "Run for the Buckles" featuring all last chance showdowns and main events where our unique belt buckle trophies will be given to the winners!

Of note for 2024 will be two specials within the special so to speak as the ULMS Late Models will be competing in the 4th annual Ken Schaltenbrand Sr. Memorial paying $4,500 to the winner. The event was rained out in late August and will take place on Stampede weekend. Also, the Dow and Kyle Memorial for the Millerstown Pic-A-Part Penn Ohio Pro Stocks will also run for the fourth consecutive year, paying $3,800 to the winner in 2024. Series champions will be crowned at the Stampede as well. For the RUSH Late Models, the weekend represents a special touring race paying $3,500-to-win and the series points champion will be determined as well as champions for the RUSH Sportsman Modifieds and RUSH Sprint Cars. The Elite UEMS EModified Series will also crown their champion at the Stampede on Saturday night. The entire Fab4 Revved UP with Marburger Farm Dairy will also be represented with $3,000-to-win appearances for the Peoples Natural Gas Sprint Cars and Diehl Automotive Big Block Modifieds, two divisions where any number of invaders may just stop by to pay a visit and take home a victory buckle.
Entertainment will not be in short supply as well as we kick off the off track action with a karaoke contest on Thursday night following the end of Test & Tune activities. The contest will be conducted by DJ Sammy and will be held behind the main concourse on the turn four side. In 2023 over six drivers actually participated with fans to the delight of all in attendance with "Hollywood" Jeremy Weaver taking the inaugural victory! On Friday night following racing, we will have live music featuring the thrash metal offerings of Death Ticket followed by the rock, pop, alternative and even original songs from the band Liquid Courage to close out the night. Our Friday night concerts will take place at our new live music stage located down the hill from turn three. Then, following racing on Saturday night, we introduce Comedy Night with live performances headlined by Sky Walker with Domenic Giovanni, Chuck Lewis, Justin Gilkey, Dimi Kolovopoulos and Thomas Jones!
The weekend doesn't stop there though as Geibel Fest "Day of Destruction" puts the season to bed with car crunching Demolition Derbies and more starting at 1 PM on Sunday afternoon.
