Third Annual Ken Schaltenbrand Sr. Memorial On Tap Saturday Night
Sarver, PA (August 30, 2024) The dirt will fly in a three division showdown on Saturday night at The Action Track as the third annual Ken Schaltenbrand Sr. Memorial takes center stage. The Jay's Automotive ULMS Late Models will be battling for a $4,500 top prize and they'll be of the topless variety allowing fans a unique view of how they work the wheel with both elbows up as they make their way around the track. They'll be joined by a complete $1,000-to-win show for the Elite Motorsports UEMS EMods and the Millerstown Pic-A-Part Pro Stocks as each division on the card gets one final look at the track in preparation for the upcoming Steel City Stampede in October.
For the ULMS Late Models, a who's who of regional hot shoes should be making a visit on Saturday including track champions Michael Norris and Alex Ferree and quite possibly Dave Hess Jr. Michael Lake currently brings the points lead into the weekend over Logan Zarin and Ryan Montgomery. For the series, it will be their second appearance of the season following a Michael Norris win in series action on August 9 as part of the annual Willie and Conda McConnell Memorial.
Also on the card with the tops on will be the UEMS Emods who will be making their second appearance of the season at Lernerville. Troy Johnson was the feature winner in that appearance earlier in the year as a fairly stout field of 21 cars made their way to the track. Currently, Mason Lobb leads the points heading in to the night with Steel City Reboot champion Vinny DePizzo right behind the leader. In Millerstown Pic-A-Part Pro Stock action, Christian Schneider won his first career track title in 2024, however, the hot hand coming into Saturday may belong to Cody Koteles who held off a hard charging Chris Schneider for 25 laps on August 21 as part of Castrol FloRacing Night in America. Koteles, who had been so close to tasting victory over the past few years was finally reward with a perfect race and result and will be looking to repeat that on Saturday night.
Pits will open at 4 PM on Saturday night with grandstands opening at 5 PM and hot laps with ULMS Late Model qualifying starting at 6:30 PM and racing to follow. General admission is $18 on Saturday night while children 10 and under are admitted free. Pit passes will be available for $40. The entire night of racing will be available for viewing on our streaming platform at Dirt.Tv
