Action Track Preview- One Night For All The Marbles

Sarver, PA (August 22, 2019) The road to Championship Night this Friday started on May 10 and has now boiled down over the course of the season to one night. A night to make history happen, a night to make great moments to be cherished forever, and a night where every lap matters for drivers in the hunt for the Fab4 titles. It's a night to play for all the marbles.  And for those not in the hunt, it's a chance to collect that elusive victory, or for a season best finish, or one more night to take in the atmosphere and enjoy the thrill of competing.

For three divisions, the battles for the titles rage into Friday night as championships are still up for grabs in the Peoples Natural Gas DIRTcar Sprints, Diehl Automotive DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds and Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar/RUSH Pro Stocks.  And within those three battles, there are margins that could be erased by one false move on the track, or one unforeseen mechanical gremlin.

There will be fireworks not only on the track, but in the sky as well on Friday night, courtesy of Butler County Tourism.

Jack Sodeman Jr. carries an 11 point lead over Carl Bowser and holds a 17 point advantage over AJ Flick in the Peoples Gas Sprints. Sodeman will be gunning for his second career track championship on Friday night, his last title came in 2016.

Perhaps the most intriguing battle coming into Friday night will take place in the Diehl Big Block Modifieds as seven time champion Brian Swartzlander and two time and defending champion Rex King Jr. come into the night tied in points. All eyes will be on both of them, however fans should take note that Rex King Sr. and Dave Murdick are still very much in contention should either of the front runners suffer misfortune.

Another battle which may go to the final set of turns will be going on in Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTCar/RUSH Pro Stocks. Tyler Dietz brings a five point lead over defending champion Corey McPherson with Joey Zambotti lurking 18 points back and still having an opportunity at a title.

Ken Schaltenbrand will be celebrating his first career track championship on Friday night as he clinched the title last Friday night in the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models.

The Lernerville Kids Club will be in action once again and will be partaking in a candy scramble as well as leading the crowd in the reciting of our pledge of allegiance. Kids Club meets at 6:30 pm under the turn four grandstands and is free for all children.

Pits will open at 4 PM on Friday night with grandstands opening at 5 PM and racing starting at 7:30 PM. Adult general admission is $15, $12 for seniors, $10 for students ages 11-17 and children 10 and under are free!
