SARVER, Pa. – A few rough outings quickly left the mind of Bellevue, Ohio racer Cap Henry after his performance Friday night in Pennsylvania. The All Star Circuit of Champions competitor scored a sixth-place finish at Sarver’s Lernerville Speedway to rebound from the previous two weekends of struggles.

An impressive showing of 41 sprint cars came to the Western Pennsylvania 4/10-mile oval to try to capture the event win. Starting out in qualifying, Henry fared well. His 13.117-second lap put him 12th-quick on the final speed chart. Going from the inside of row two in heat race two, Henry fell back one spot to fourth on the start, where he ran for all eight laps.

The fourth-place finish was enough to qualify Henry for the main event. Set to roll off the Coomer Motorsports Maxim Chassis No. 21 in the 15th position, Henry’s run began early; with just four laps complete of the 30-lap feature, he had already cracked the top ten. As the lengthy race wore on, the car would only get better. Henry’s quickest lap of the event came on lap 22, while just three others out of the 28 starters managed their quickest laps past lap 12. Two extensive red flags stretched the total race time from start to finish to 53 minutes, but Henry stayed poised en route to a sixth-place run.

With Saturday’s scheduled event at Mercer (Pa.) Raceway Park lost to rain, the Coomer team returned to Ohio to prepare for the upcoming races in Illinois and Wisconsin for the coming weekend.

Henry would like to thank Aesthetic Finishers, Armor Coat, Cerakote, Best Bite Grill, Printworks, FK Rod Ends, Simpson Race Products, Wings Unlimited, Diversified Machine Inc, Kistler Racing Engines, Jon Coomer Financial Services, and Kinsler Fuel Injection, as well as his family, fans, and the Coomer Motorsports team for their continued support.

Henry is next scheduled to compete on May 20 at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway and on May 21 at Wilmot (Wis.) Raceway, both with the All Star Circuit of Champions in the Coomer Motorsports No. 21 410ci winged sprint entry.
