Fast Cars, Fireworks, and Freedom Celebrated on July 4th at Silver Dollar Speedway
CHICO, Calif., June 27, 2022 — Come out to celebrate America’s Independence Day and watch the sights and sounds of grassroots dirt track racing followed by gigantic aerial fireworks show this Monday night, July 4th, at the famed Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA. There will literally be fireworks on and off the track during this special night of racing. We encourage families who attend to wear their red, white, and blue colors in honor of this special celebration.
The on-track racing is led by the popular winged 360 sprint cars. A full-field of stars and cars are expected to tackle the high banked quarter-mile clay oval. Joining the winged sprint cars are the popular Shelby’s Pest Control Hobby Stocks and the B Mods. Three action packed divisions are ready to kick the dust up and entertain the Chico fan base.
Kids 11 and under will be admitted FREE, with a paid accompanying adult. Families will enjoy the new kids’ zone, while the adults will appreciate the all-new Happy Hour from 4 PM to 6PM at the Farmer’s Brewing beer booth. Our main man, DJ Jake, will be on hand to keep the music pumping, while fans can play a new array of games in the concourse area. On track racing will begin at 6 PM.
Pit gate for the competitors will open at 2 PM on Friday. Front grandstand gate is set to open at 4 PM. Fans can skip the lines on race day and purchase their tickets on-line by following this link https://www.eventsprout.com/event/fireworks-show
Fans can also purchase tickets at the track on race day. Adult general admission (ages 16-59) for the Monday night show is $20.00. Seniors aged (60+) are $15.00. Juniors aged (12-15) are $10.00. Kids 11 and under are FREE. Military (with current Military ID) are FREE. If you purchase tickets on-line, a small user fee is attached to each ticket purchased.
Patriotic music will be played throughout the night over the PA system, along with history lessons about why we as a Nation celebrate July 4th. Bring the entire family out for this spectacular night of racing along with great food and drinks, post-race fireworks, that will leave long lasting family memories.

RACING
Some of the best winged 360 sprint car drivers in California will battle it out on the track. Qualifying, heat races and main events are scheduled. The B mods and Shelby’s Pest Control Hobby Stocks will draw for heat race starting positions, race 8-lap heat events, and a 20-lap main event.
