Six Dates Announced for the B Mods in 2022
Chico, CA – (4-21-22) …The popular B modifieds will get to compete six nights at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico this year starting with a double header weekend of racing this April 29th and 30th. Since the 1990’s, one form or another of the modified division has raced at Chico. From the early days of A Mods to the more recent weekly involvement of the B mods, this style of racing is very competitive and features talented drivers.
SLC Promotions is proud to announce that for the first time since 2019, points will be kept throughout the six upcoming races and a driving champion will be crowned at the final event in August. Matt Micheli of Live Oak is the last track champion from that 2019 season.
Brad Sweet of SLC Promotions said, “It was important for us to have the B mods return this season to Chico and run for a points championship.� He continued by saying, “They have been a long-standing division and have played a key role in the success of Silver Dollar Speedway for many years.�
After the two back-to-back races on April 29th and 30th, the B mods come back for events on June 3rd and 17th, July 4th, and August 26th.
The track will continue to follow the same rules as always in accordance with the Northern Sport Mod rules.
