Wednesday Night Platinum Cup Roster is Full

Chico, CA…The highly anticipated Platinum Cup, part of the 67^th Gold Cup that starts at Silver Dollar Speedway on Wednesday night September 8^th, has received a record amount of pre-registered competitors.  The Speedway is pleased to announce that the Wednesday night driver roster is now FULL.  Entries received beyond this forthcoming list of cars and drivers will automatically be bumped to Thursday night regardless of what night was requested on the entry form.  It is highly recommended that drivers/teams wanting to race the Thursday night of Platinum Cup send in their entry forms immediately.  A limited number of spots are still available on Thursday night pre-registry.

The advantage to running Wednesday night is as follows and stated in the rules posted with the entry form.  Any driver, car or combination of car and driver may earn points on one night only. Any driver, car combination of car and driver, on the first night may forfeit their points and run the second night, for mechanical, illness or other issues at the discretion and verified by promotor/officials.  Also, once a car or driver is qualified no changes are allowed unless abandoning the entire Wednesday night points on Wednesday night.  Any Wednesday night driver/team wanting to forfeit their entire night of points MUST declare their intentions to the onsite track officials, Craig Hall of Ed Kinkel, no longer than 30 minutes after the completion of Wednesday night show.

Wednesday and Thursday night drivers, who are not locked into the Saturday night main event by points, can return Friday and race in their designated consolation races with the goal of finishing in the top 8 of the B main event and transferring to the Saturday night finale.

Gold Cup single day reserved, and general admission tickets went on sale Sunday, August 15, 2021.  For reserved seating you must call the office at 530-350-7275. The track office is open Monday through Thursday 10am to 4pm.  Reserved tickets are not available online. Reserved seating includes the entire main grandstand and seating in the top half of the bleachers in Turn 1 and Turn 4. The four-day package is also still available.

General admission tickets are available by phone or online at www.silverdollarspeedway.com and include seating in the lower half of the bleachers in Turn 1 and Turn 4 only. These seats are on a first come first serve basis. Kids 11 and under are free on Wednesday and Thursday only.

All reserved and general admission tickets will also be available at the gate each night beginning at 5PM and from 9 AM to 4 PM daily in the ticket office at the track the week of Gold Cup.

Prices are as follows. Reserved Seating, Wed. $25, Thurs $30, Friday $45, and Saturday $55. General admission, Wed. $15, Thurs $20, Friday $30, and Saturday $40. Kids are free Wed and Thursday. Kids are $15 for Friday and $20 for Saturday.

Camping is still available for the Gold Cup week.  Price to reserve your spot is $300.  Please call the office to reserve your camping (530) 350-7275.
