Silver Cup Race of Champions is Season Opener at Silver Dollar Speedway

(CHICO, CA – March 8, 2020)…For the 39th time, the Silver Dollar Speedway will host the Silver Cup Race of Champions this Friday night, March 13th and Saturday night, March 14th. The high paying race will feature the popular winged 360 sprint cars and the traveling dwarf cars. The Saturday night winged 360 sprint car main event winner will pocket a cool $3,500.
The Silver Cup has always been a fan favorite because of its early placement in the Northern California racing scene and large car counts. The March race at Chico also serves as the opening weekend for anxious race fans who have not seen the high-speed thrills of grassroots dirt track racing since September of 2019.
Fans can purchase tickets by visiting our website and click on the buy event tickets at (www.silverdollarspeedway.com). The clickable line is located at the upper left-hand side. The Silver Cup grandstand seating is general admission and tickets can also be purchased the day of the events at the track.
Pit gates will open at 2pm while the front grandstand gate will open at 5pm. Racing is slated to start at 6pm for both nights.
Adult general admission to the Friday nights race is $18.00. Juniors, seniors and military with proper id are $15.00. Kids, ages 6-11, are just $6.00. Children 5 and under are FREE.

Top winged 360 sprint car teams and drivers are scheduled to compete at the Silver Cup Race of Champions. Roseville’s Sean Becker will compete with a new team in 2020. Becker has been hired to drive the potent Van Lare No. 5v. Auburn’s Andy Forsberg will pilot the Family and Friends No. x1. Paradise’s Kyle Hirst will be a force this weekend. He gets the nod in the Menne Motorsports No. 75. Justyn Cox is set to shine in his new full-time ride the C & M Motorsports No. 7c. Sacramento’s Kalib Henry looks to get the No. 93 back into victory lane. A plethora of other cars and stars will be set to shine this weekend.
The Dwarf Cars will field many teams for the two-night show. Most of these team’s camp on the fairgrounds and make it a family-like atmosphere. Teams will travel from all over to compete in an early season race at the famed Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. Each night the drivers will get to compete in heat races and main events.
Camping for the weekend is also available at the fairgrounds for $40.00 a night. Please check in at the Fairgrounds office to pay for your camping. Parking is FREE in the parking lot for the grandstand fans.
