Play Day / Practice set for Sunday February 23

Welcome Back to the Silver Dollar Speedway
(Chico, CA 2/16/20) This Sunday, February 23, 2020, the sights, sounds and smells of dirt track racing return to the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, with the annual Play Day / Practice. Pit gate for the competitors will open at 11 AM. The racetrack will be open for business at noon. Practice is scheduled to last at least until 4 PM. Pit gate cost is $30.00 per person.
The 39th Silver Cup is slated for March 13th and 14th. The traditional race will feature 360-winged sprint cars and dwarf cars. The winged sprint cars will be vying for a $3500 winners’ payday on Saturday night.
This season, the Speedway has worked hard with other tracks to keep many of any conflicting dates to a minimum. With that said, we are going to hit it hard and early in 2020. First championship point show starts the Friday night following Silver Cup on March 20th. We follow that up with the second point show on March 27th. Third point show is April 3rd.
After a slew of point shows, the circle track racing gives way to the aerial Monster Truck show on April 10th and 11th inside the Silver Dollar Speedway. The Monster Trucks will be joined by Mega-Saurus (Car Eating Robot Dinosaur).
