PLACERVILLE, CA – (7-26-19) … Brad Sweet Promotions is excited to team up with one of the best ambassadors in sprint car racing, Peter Murphy, for the upcoming Fastest Four Days in Motorsports featuring King of the West-NARC Fujitsu 410 Sprint Car Series. The four-night Speedweek will kick off at Placerville Speedway on August 21st, then travel to Chico’s Silver Dollar Speedway for Thursday Night Thunder. On Friday August 23rd, and Saturday, August 24th, the big two-night Champions Classic at The Stockton Dirt Track will culminate the four-night affair where the winner will take home a staggering $10,000.
Headlining the four-nights of winged 410-sprint car racing will be NASCAR star Kyle Larson from Elk Grove, CA. As of now, this will be the only Northern California 410-sprint car appearance for Larson. Larson, the 2010 King of the West-NARC Fujitsu 410 Sprint Car Series Champion, gets to race about 20 dirt track events a year and reserved these four nights come back home and see a lot of familiar faces. “I am really looking forward to racing back where I grew up, said Larson. “I still have a lot of fond memories racing winged sprint cars around Northern California.
Murphy, originally from Sydney, Australia, now calls Clovis, CA his home. Murphy was a longtime supporter of the King of the West-NARC Fujitsu 410 Sprint Car Series as a driver where he won numerous shows including the coveted Dave Bradway Jr. and Tribute to GP events at Silver Dollar Speedway. The former New Zealand sprint car champion has worked as a crew chief and mentored numerous drivers in recent years. He also has a knack for the promotions of sprint car racing. In 2014, Murphy started his own race called the Peter Murphy Classic at Tulare Raceway. It has grown into one of the most popular and highest paying West Coast events. “We need to put the 410 sprint cars back into the spotlight, said Murphy. “I will bring a little of my race along so the nights won’t be normal, they will have a little of the Classic in them. He concluded by saying, “but without giving up too much the fans will just have to come and see what it’ll be.
“I’m really excited to team up with Peter, said Sweet. “He has great knowledge and understanding of how to put on a great show for the Nor Cal fans. Sweet continued by saying, “He has so much experience and is well respected by the drivers and fans. It was a no brainer to try and form a relationship with him. Together, we want to try and build some great events for the Northern California racing scene.
