Back at the Dollar This Friday Night

Chico, CA (June 25, 2019) …. The Friday night lights will shine bright again as the cars and stars of Silver Dollar Speedway return for championship point racing. Winged 360 sprint cars, IMCA Sport Mods and Street Stocks are slated to entertain the grandstand crowd.
Pit gate opens at 4 PM. Front grandstand gate opens at 6 PM. Adult general admission is $15.00. Seniors (62+) and juniors (12-15) and military with proper i.d. are $13.00. Children (6-11) are $6.00. Kids five and under are FREE. Parking for fans is FREE. Racing is slated to start at 7 PM.
Roseville’s Sean Becker holds a narrow one-point advantage over fellow friend and long-time competitor Auburn’s Andy Forsberg. Clarksburg, CA masher Justyn Cox sits in the third spot. Kaleb Henry and Michael Ing round out the top five. Here is an interesting fact, no driver in the top 10 of points has won a feature event this season. Eleventh place Chase Majdic is the highest driver in the point standings with a win this season.
The Street Stocks are set to make their third appearance of the season. Unlike the sprint car division, the top two in points each have main event wins. Auburn’s Brent Lawrence and Live Oak’s Matt Micheli are separated by a mere three-points. Chico’s Phil Marino sits in third, four-points ahead of Cherokee’s Kyle Allen and Cottonwoods Richard Workman who are tied for fourth.
Matt Micheli will be pulling double duty this Friday night. Micheli currently leads the IMCA Sport Mod standings by quite a bit. Micheli is 33-points ahead of Grass Valley’s Andrew Peckham. While the battle for the lead is a snoozer, second through fourth is tight. Chico’s Tyler Rodgers is one-point behind Peckham but three-points ahead of Yuba City’s Brian Cooper.
Following this Friday night, the Speedway will make a quick turn around and get ready for the Thursday night July 4th Fast Cars and Freedom event. Tickets for the July 4th event can only be reserved by clicking here https://events.admitoneproducts.com/tkt_sales.php?test=true&event_id=229519&sales=
