Kid's Bike Night Highlights Point Race #13
CHICO, CA (8-3-16) -Â Silver Dollar Speedway is all about the kids this Friday night. Kids 11 and under will be admitted free into this Friday nights races. This is to help encourage the kids to become more involved at the Speedway and of course allow them to bring their bicycles out to get a chance to race against other kids in their same age group on the famed dirt track. During the event we will also raffle off two beautiful BMX style bikes donated by AutoMaxx of Marysville located at 726 10th St. Our good friend Terry Brown of ManCamp Motorsports is also donating four razor scooters throughout the night for the kids in attendance.
Friday night general admission is $14.00 for adults, $12.00 for seniors and juniors. Children 11 and under are FREE. Pit gate opens at 4 PM with the front gate opening at 6 PM. Winged sprint car qualifying is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
Riebes Auto Parts is presenting Point Race #13. Representatives will be on hand to give away shirts, candy and showcase all they offer.
Winged 360 sprint cars get a rare chance to race on this Friday night. Traditionally the track host nearly 20 sprint car drivers from all up and down Northern California.
The point battle between in the street stock division is as tight as it can be. Brent Lawrence leads Shawn Smith by just one point. Brent Hall is only five points behind Lawrence. Phillip Shelby is just nine points back of Lawrence. Gary Newman rounds out the top five and is 22 points back of Lawrence. This Friday night is so important to all of these drivers as they march towards the finale.
Todd Cooper, driver of the AutoMaxx #17c, leads the IMCA Sport Mods charge into this Friday night. Cooper holds a comfortable 17 point edge over Jerry Bartlett. This division usually gets at least 15 competitors for its weekly show.
Brian Compton is perfect in 2016. The hobby stock driver has entered five main events this year and won all five of them. He also is the Enduro champion from the fair race. Can anyone knock him out of victory lane? Young Cameron Hammett, James West and Jeremy Langenderfer will all try to break Compton's streak.
