CHICO, CA (5-4-13) - Rocklin's Kevin Bender is no stranger to winning at Silver Dollar Speedway. The main event was an entertaining race that saw good side-by-side racing. In the end it was Bender who was just too good. He has been one of the best dwarf cars drivers over the past few years at Chico. It is always good to see this first class organization come race at the Silver Dollar Speedway. Galt's Ryan Winter was just as good as Bender for most of the 20-lap race. Winter gave it his all but ended up in the runner-up position. A total of 12 dwarf cars attended Saturday night's race. The Dwarf cars we part of the 23rd Annual Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial.

Kevin Bender was originally slated to start in the fifth spot. Yet he was on the move at the drop of the green flag and quickly battled Ryan Winter for the lead. Winter came into the night as the current NCDCA point leader. Winter held an 11 point lead over Michael Grenert. The Fairfield based driver, Grenert, had a good point's night after he won the first heat race and finished fourth in the main event. Kevin Bender scored the most points during the night by winning the first heat race and then going on to win the main event. Placerville's Doug Martin should be commended for his effort. Martin started eighth in the main event and raced his way up to a third place finish. Jeremy Blackshere started up front but unfortunately fell back to a fifth place finish in the main event.

The NCDCA will return on June 7th and September 5th. For more information about the NCDCA visit www.dwarfworld.com
