Update on Fairgrounds for This Weekends Races

CHICO, CA (8-16-12) - With the plethora of surrounding fires in our area the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds is accommodating numerous fire prevention equipment and giving the fire fighters a place to call home while battling these fires. Even with the fire fighters on the fairgrounds, the races at Silver Dollar Speedway will be held this Friday and Saturday night. The only change in plans is for all race fans, campers and competitors to enter the north part of the fairgrounds on Silver Dollar Way. The road is between Costco and the Water Plant. Once you exit off Highway 99 take the Martin Luther King Blvd to Silver Dollar Way. All campers and personal race fans vehicles will be parked in the North parking lot with RV parking reserved on the pit road area. All competitors' haulers will also be entering the fairgrounds through this entrance.

For fans coming to watch the races the ticket booth will be moved to behind the fourth turn bleacher area. There will be fencing and signs pointing everyone in the right direction. Grandstand gate will open at 6pm on Friday and 5pm on Saturday.

On Friday night will be giving away a 42" Flat Screen TV courtesy of Aaron's. We are also giving away a custom mountain bike courtesy of Clark's Pest Control. Chico Bike & Board is giving away two free bmx tune-ups. Riebes Auto Parts will also be on hand giving away things along with Aarons who will set up all their impressive merchandise.
