Wells Fargo Becomes Title Sponsor of the Silver Dollar Speedway in 2011
CHICO, CA (3-10-11) -Â The Silver Dollar Speedway is proud to announce Wells Fargo as our title sponsor for 2011. The famed quarter-mile clay oval speedway is thrilled to partner with one of America's largest financial institution. Wells Fargo was recently listed in Forbes as one of the top 100 Best Companies in the World (2010). "This is a dream come true for us," said promoter Dennis Gage. "We know that grass roots racing is very near and dear to the hearts of the local community. With the addition of Wells Fargo we will be able to help them reach new customers while they will also reach new racing fans for us." The announcement of this agreement will coincide with the Silver Dollar Speedway Press Luncheon on March 10th at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds.
The Silver Dollar Speedway is a quarter-mile clay oval speedway that features weekly Friday night point races and numerous specialty events. The highlight of the season culminates with the Gold Cup Race of Champions in September. This is a week long event that attracts people from all over the world. In all, the speedway hosts 35 weekends of racing that stretches from the middle of March to October. Talented drivers converge at the race track to form this melting pot of exciting grass roots racing for the fans.

"Auto racing is as exciting as it can get and we are excited to get involved with a first class speedway that has a rich history and loyal racing fans."
Racing at the historic Silver Dollar Speedway is set to began Friday night, March 11 and 12, with the annual running of the Mini Gold Cup. Friday night Mini-Gold Cup tickets will be general admission. Saturday night World of Outlaw tickets are now on sale and can be obtained by calling 877-395-8606 or at dirtcar.ticketforce.com. The Silver Cup Race of Champions is set for March 25 and 26 while the Wells Fargo Championship point racing kicks off on April 1.
