The 410 sprint car main event started off with a bang on lap number two, when drivers Jason York, Mark Hall and Tyler Wolf were involved in a spin off of turn number four. Immediately, it was easy to see that this race was going to shake up the point standings dramatically. With Brett Miller, the top standing driver unable to attend the race, drivers two through four involved in the early caution and Kevin Sharrah, the fifth place driver in the standings, unable to compete in the main even after being involved in a bone-jarring wreck during heat race number two, it was anyone's game on the track.
Kenny Allen tried to take that opportunity and led until he spun in turn number four on lap number 10 and gave the lead to Whitchurch. On lap number 13, Brad Bumgarner spun off the track, but no caution was needed. Lap number 20, Ryan Kaplan spun coming out of turn three and collected Tyler Wolf in the accident as well.
Bobby McMahan, driver number 51 and defending track champion, dominated the first heat race while 15-year old, Kenny Allen, of the number 7k car, also lead all eight laps of the second heat race. Both drivers finished in the top three in the main event race.
Kevin Sharrah wasn't the only one to have problems in his heat race. During heat race number one, Brandon Carey took a nasty spin on lap number seven that left his car unable to compete in the remaining races as well.
Jason York started off the night by turning the fastest lap in qualifying. His quick lap time was a 12.032.
