CHICO, CA (8-17-09) - Loomis sprint car driver Kyle Hirst will look to win three features in a row this Friday night at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. Point race number 20 during the Feather Falls Casino championship series will also feature the wingless sprints and street stocks on the ASA Sanctioned speedway. Chico's Heather Bartlett holds a 32-point advantage over Richard Workman heading into Friday's race. Chico's Jimmy Pettit is 21-points in front of Grass Valley racer Jay Youngman.

Bartlett is trying to match Hirst for consecutive main event wins. Bartlett is going for win number three in a row. She will be up on the wheel trying to win because her sponsor Angie's Poker Club is also the headlining sponsor for the night. Angie's Poker Club of Chico will be giving away prizes to the fans while also supplying candy treats for the kids.

Front grandstand gate will open at 6pm. Adult general admission is $12.00. Juniors and seniors are $10.00. Children are listed at $5.00. Sprint car qualifying will take place at 7 pm with racing to follow.

Bobby McMahan continues to lead the 410-sprint car point championship. No other driver has been more consistent than the rejuvenated veteran sprint driver. McMahan remains perfect when it comes to top 10 main event finishes. Currently, McMahan is 11 for 11. Mark Hall has shadowed McMahan all season. Hall is in second place, 27-points behind. Second year driver Colby Copeland has been very impressive this season. Last week he set fast time and currently sits in the third spot. Kyle Hirst has missed two races this season. If not for that, he might be challenging McMahan for the championship. Making nine races this year, Hirst has three wins and six top five feature event finishes. Hirst is tied for fourth with rookie driver Kyle Harris. Harris is teammates with McMahan. In eleven starts, Harris has recorded four top ten finishes.

Heather Bartlett is a fan favorite. There is no doubt about that. This year she and her team set out for one goal, a Silver Dollar Speedway track championship. Mission accomplished if things go smoothly the next two nights of racing for her. She has won four main events this season. Early point leader Phil Marino has five main event wins, one more than Bartlett, but mechanical problems put him out of the chase. Richard Workman and Joe Longmire are the only two drivers with a mathematical chance to catch Bartlett. With Angie's Poker Club in full-force this Friday night it would be hard to see anyone else keep Bartlett from her fifth win this year.

When you compare stats between wingless driver Jimmy Pettit and Jay Youngman not much separates the two. Each has one feature win, ten top ten's and Pettit has one more heat race win than Youngman. However, the point separation might just have come from two nights. On two occasions Pettit finished in the top five while Youngman did not. Taylor Simas returns to try and pick up a main event win this year at Chico. Fourth in points is Billy Wallace. Wallace has two wins this season. Fifth place is Terry Schank Jr. This driver has the most wins in this division with three.
