CHICO, CA (6-24-09) - Chico's Jonathan Allard sits atop the Feather Falls Casino Friday night sprint car point championship series. This Friday, June 26, Allard and the 410 sprint cars return to Silver Dollar Speedway after taking last weekend off. Allard and company will look to visit victory lane for a chance at $2,000 courtesy of sponsorship help from The Danielsen Co., a Food Service Specialist located 435 Southgate Ct. in Chico. The Danielsen Co. serves local restaurants, school districts, the Silver Dollar Speedway and has a cash and carry store. The Danielsen Co. has always played a big part in helping the race track wheither it was delivering food or sponsoring race races. The name has been proudly displayed for the last few years on the side of Eli Zuckers #8e dirt modified. Zucker is the warehouse manager and the grandson of owner Jim Danielsen.

Racing at the ASA Sanctioned track is set to begin at 7 pm. Sprint car qualifying will be the first agenda of the night. Front grandstand gate will open at 6 pm. Pit gate opens at 4 pm. Adult general admission into the main grandstand is $12.00. Juniors and seniors are $10.00 with children $5.00. After the racing action fans are invited to meet and greet their favorite drivers in the pit area.

The Dirt Modified division will race for the third week in a row. It is no secret that one driver has dominated the series up to this point. Chico's Mark Abouzeid has won all four of the main events this year. Abouzeid holds a nine-point advantage over Chico's Darin Ruley.

Phil Marino won his fourth feature of the year this past Friday. The most impressive driver of the night might of been Kevin Pendergrass who was the only driver within range to challenge Marino. Heather Bartlett still sits in the second spot of the points chase.

Allard holds a two-point advantage over Bobby McMahan in the 410-winged sprint division. Allard has two wins this season during the Friday night points battle. Mark Hall sits in the third spot just ten-points out. Fourth through seventh place in points are only separated by five points. Kyle Hirst is in the fourth spot and holds his slim lead over Colby Copeland, Andy Forsberg and Sean Becker.
