Lucas Oil Speedway takes this weekend off before Diamond Drag Boat Nationals/MLRA doubleheader
WHEATLAND, MO. (August 26, 2020) - After a busy weekend that included three days of action on the off road track plus crowning champions of the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series on the dirt oval, Lucas Oil Speedway will remain silent this week.
But there’s still plenty of action ahead in 2020, starting with a big Labor Day Weekend doubleheader on both the dirt oval and Lake Lucas.
The Diamond Drag Boat Nationals are set for Sept. 5-6 on Lake Lucas as the Kentucky Drag Boat Association and Southern Drag Boat Association co-sanction a two-day event. Also on Saturday, Sept. 5 the Lucas Oil MLRA returns with the Ron Jenkins Memorial Presented by Rugged Radios.
Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods and O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Stocks will join the Late Models on the Labor Day Weekend program. Fans purchasing tickets to the Diamond Drag Boat Nationals will be admitted free.
“We had a great weekend with the Lucas Oil Off Road Shootout, plus a tremendous championship night at the dirt track,” Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. “I want to thank our fans and everyone involved in helping put on both of the events.
“After a break this week, our season is far from over. We look forward to kicking off an exciting stretch of special events through September and October.”
