POWRi Midgets this weekend at Lake Ozark Speedway
By POWRi PR (Belleville, IL) -- This weekend the POWRi Lucas Oil National and West Midget Leagues invade Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri for a two-day Labor Day weekend spectacular. The inaugural appearance for the Leagues, Lake Ozark Speedway presents the opportunity for two nights of back-to-back racing as the point battle within the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League continues to heat up.
Heading into Labor Day weekend, in the friendly battle amongst the Leagues, the National Midget League has the upper hand in the friendly National versus West rivalry. With Christopher Bell’s I-44 Riverside Speedway triumphs at the season opener, Logan Seavey’s win at Valley Speedway and Tanner Carrick’s breakthrough victory at Lucas Oil Speedway, along with Tucker Klaasmeyer and Jake Neuman each winning a night at the Second Annual Thunder in the Valley, combined with Jerry Coons Jr and Tyler Thomas taking wins at I-55 during the Ironman Weekend, the West Midget League is searching hard for an upset at Lake Ozark Speedway.
Tucker Klaasmeyer currently leads the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League point standings with Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports teammate Ryan Robinson trailing by 130 points. Klaasmeyer has five victories to date in 2018, while Robinson has one. The most recent victor with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League, Zach Daum removed the monkey from his back with an impressive victory at Angell Park Speedway for the annual Miller Lite Cornfest celebration.
Karter Sarff looks to be well on his way to capturing Rookie of the Year honors with the League as he currently sits in fourth. Jake Neuman rides in fifth with Logan Seavey in sixth. Holly Shelton currently sits in seventh with Joe B. Miller in eighth. Tanner Carrick and Kyle Schuett round out the top ten.
In POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League competition, Kory Schudy has a commanding point lead over Hank Davis. With only one win to date in 2018, but with an astounding 12 top five finishes, Schudy has built a 1120-point advantage over Davis. Wesley Smith trails Davis by 160 points, with Hannah Adair in fourth. Hunter Fischer currently holds the fifth position, while Cannon McIntosh is in sixth. Blake Edwards sits in seventh with A.J. Burns in eighth. Grady Chandler and Zach Daum round out the top ten.
