Randy Wheeler Memorial Wins Go to Smith, Wiseley, Southerland, Green, and Traster

Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (April 3, 2021) Honoring the late Randy Wheeler this past Saturday night, the Fast Five Weekly Series stormed through Creek County Speedway with Danny Smith, Collin Wisely, Clent Southerland, Blake Green, and Lane Traster taking turns in Victory Lane.

Finding his first win of the season with the DSO Champ/305 Sprint Cars, Dany Smith took off from the pole and kept the field at bay in the Same Day Auto Repair No. 5$. Dean Drake crossed second after starting sixth with Scott Roberts on the final podium step. Casey Wills from 11th made it to fourth, with Joshua Tyre in fifth.

Going on first to first in the York Plumbing Modifieds, Collin Wiseley also captured his first win of the year aboard the Cole Chiropractic No. 01. Ho Dean came up to second with Chad Davis third. Jason Davis and Ben Frey completed the top five.

Keeping the theme of different winners, Clent Southerland found his first win of the year in Tim Chainey Trucking Factory Stocks action. Getting there from third, the Kellyville, Okla. driver crossed ahead of seventh, starting Toby Cooper with Scott Wilson going from 10th to third. Donnie Wright and Bailey Vann made the top five.

Also, taking his first win of the 2021 season, Blake Green made it to the front of the field from mid-pack, while Justin Melton charged from 12th to second. Wesley Knebel made it two podiums in as many outings while Jimmy Masterson crossed fourth with Justin Traster in fifth.

Going two-for-two with the Junior Mini Stocks, Lane Traster went fifth to first over Kyle Armitage, Natalie Colby, Tyler Dean, Lendsey McSperitt, and Jacob O’Hara.

Creek County Speedway is back in action Saturday, April 10, with DSO Champ 305 Sprints, York Plumbing Modifieds, Tim Chainey Trucking Factory Stocks, Mini Stocks, and 600cc Modifieds.

Gates open at 5:00 P.M., Hot Laps are at 7:00 P.M., with racing at 7:30 P.M. (CDT). Admission is $10 for adults with youth 11-14 admitted for $6. Kids 10 and under get into the Grandstands free of charge. Creek County Speedway is located at 18450 West Hwy. 66, between Kellyville and Sapulpa. Take Exit 211 off I-44 to Route 66. The track is just beyond the Creek County Fairgrounds.
