Kevin McSperitt Up To Eight Wins At Creek County Speedway With Danny Smith, Joe Wright, Larry Pense, and Robert Scott On Top

Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (July 22, 2018) Rolling through Round 14 of the Fast Five Weekly Series at Creek County Speedway, four drivers returned to Victory Lane with one making his first trip of the 2018 season.

Upping his win total on the season to eight, Kevin McSperitt rolled to the top of the field from the sixth starting spot with the Mini Stocks. Kenny Grumadas slipped back on spot to finish second with Justin Melton also moving back on to finish third. Michael Longacre and Jimmy Masterson made up Saturday’s top-five.

Returning to the top of the field for the third time in 2018, Danny Smith made an impressive run to the front of the field from 10th with Nick Lucito posting an equally impressive run from 13th to second in Champ Sprint competition. David Stephenson grabbed third with Tim Kent moving from eighth to fourth. Terry Easum in fifth marked his first top-five run of the season.

Making in win No. 4 with the Dwarf Cars, Larry Pense started at the top and didn’t falter as Rob McQuary moved from fourth to second. Making it to the final podium step, Chandler Foltz advanced four spots with Mike Howard and Paul York completing the top-five.

A pair of wins now for Robert Scott with the Factory Stocks, the season’s fifth A-Feature appearance puts him with two top-fives and five top-tens. Outrunning Bobby Wolfe to the line, Tommy Romine followed with Calvin Lewis moving up to fourth from ninth. Bill Newton finished fifth.

Making his first trip to Victory Lane in 2018, Joe Wright topped the Modifieds in his fourth A-Feature appearance of the season. Ho Dean from seventh made it to second with James Esmond moving up from ninth to third. Anthony Neel and Joshua Tyre completed the top-five.

Up next at Creek County Speedway is the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products, along with the USAC Wingless Sprints of Oklahoma on Friday, July 27. Admission is $20 for adults with kids 10 and under admitted free into the grandstands. Races on Friday get underway at 8:00 P.M. (CDT).

Creek County Speedway’s Fast Five Weekly Series of Champ Sprints, Modifieds, Dwarf Cars, Factory Stocks, and Mini Stocks returns for Round 15 on Saturday, July 28, 2018. Gates open at 5:00 P.M with Hot Laps at 7:30 P.M. Races get underway at 8:00 P.M. (CT).

Admission prices are $10 for adults. Youth 11-14 get in for $6 and kids 10 and under get into the grandstands for free. Pits are $30 (under 10 years of age is $15).
