NEXT UP at LONESTAR SPEEDWAY: USMTS vs LONESTAR'S MODIFIEDS at the $3,000/win MODIFIED SPRING NATIONALS - SATURDAY, MAY 13th!

Kilgore, TX (5/6/17) by DarinShort.com. LoneStar Speedway (LSS) racers and fans are champing at the bit (after last year's rainout) for the LSS Modified teams to get their chance to take on the best in the nation, the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) on Saturday night May 13th.

$3,000 will go to the Spring Modified Nationals feature winner, with a total posted purse in excess of $21,000; which includes the Limited Modifieds competing for $700/win, while the first Factory Stock driver to cross the checkers will take home $500. The FWD 4-Cylinders will round out the 4-division racing card. There is the standard USMTS entry fee and rules in the Modifieds, while the Limited Modified and Factory Stock divisions have no entry fee. All four divisions will receive full LoneStar Speedway points.

This is the first USMTS event at LSS in over five years (the past three were rained out), and race fans can expect to see many of the nation's finest Modified drivers taking on the strong contingent of LSS Modified drivers who are poised to defend their home turf.

USMTS drivers expected include: Cade Dillard, Ricky Thornton Jr., Chris Brown, Jason Hughes, Ryan Gustin, Stormy Scott, Zack VanderBeek, Dereck Ramirez, Johnny Scott, Travis Saurer, R.C. Whitwell, Joe Duvall, Tyler Wolff, Billy Vogel, Trevor Egbert, Rodney Sanders, Adam Kates, Mickey Lassiter, Kyle Pleasant, Thomas Tillison Jr., Philip Houston, Logan Robertson, Zane Hunter, J.R. Owen, George Egbert IV, Kevin Rutherford, Jon Mitchell, Steve Whiteaker Jr., Cody Leonard and Phil Dixon.

Plus, fans can expect a solid field of LoneStar Modified drivers, such as Blake Tennimon, Chad Migues, Chris Henigan, Dennie Gieber, Donnie Powers, Jason Ingalls, Jeff Harris, Jerry Jackson, Justin Ingalls, Kelly Lockey, Kenny Gaddis, Kyle Taylor, Larry Fears, Sean Gaddis, Taylor Rateliff, Tye Clampitt, Billy Jack Brutchin, Wes Armstrong and Zack McMillan. Plus there certainly will be other regional drivers to add to the mix.

In recent LSS history, there have been two occasions where 'LoneStar drivers' have won huge events here - so we're really excited to showcase our 'local' talent to the national teams and fans.

A very solid payback is posted for all divisions:
