Season Opener this Friday for Rapid Speedway!

Get ready Rock Rapids, the 2010 racing season is about to begin; This Friday will be the season opener for the speedway and we’ll be racing the HRA Traditional Non-Winged Sprint Cars along side the USRA Stock Cars, USRA “B” Modifieds, and the USRA Hobby Stocks.

Come see your favorite drivers including 2009 USRA Stock Car Champion Jon DeBoer, USRA “B” Modified Champion Chris Huisman, USRA Hobby Stock Car Champion Justin Regnerous as well as HRA Sprint Champion Dylan Peterson defending their titles.

“We are looking to have a great field of cars,” explains Heartland Racing Association president Bill Mellenberndt. “ Our ‘test and tune’ date last week brought a lot of cars and I know everyone is champing at the bit to get their cars on the race track.”

Following Friday’s season opener, the HRA sprints will be heading to I-90 Speedway in Hartford, South Dakota to add to their 360 winged program. The HRA Sprints will be attending the 3/8ths mile of I-90 two times this year: Saturday the 8th of May as well as the 28th of August.

Races this Friday start at 8PM sharp with the grandstands and pit gate opening at 5:30.
