BILL SEDGWICK APPOINTED COMPETITION DIRECTOR FOR THE 2024 zMAX CARS TOUR PRO LATE MODEL SERIES WEST;
RULES PACKAGE ANNOUNCED
Bakersfield, Calif. (January 15, 2024) – The zMAX CARS Tour Pro Late Model Series West announced today the appointment of Bill Sedgwick as the Competition Director for the 2024 season. As a two-time ARCA Menards Series West Champion driver and a six-time ARCA Menards Series West Champion crew chief, Sedgwick brings a wealth of experience and a championship-winning mindset to the role. Sedgwick will collaborate with Tim Huddleston, Kevin Harvick, and CARS Tour management to implement a fair and competitive series on the West Coast.

"His extensive racing background, proven success on and off the track, and his experience as a champion crew chief and driver, make him an ideal leader for our expanding series.”
Crafted to promote expansion among the ranks of West Coast Pro Late Models, the 2024 rulebook enables Pro Late Model competitors from various tracks across the West Coast to seamlessly adhere to the regulations and vie for the inaugural zMAX CARS Tour Pro Late Model Series West Championship.
In coordination with the rules package, the CARS Tour West management worked closely with partner tracks to craft a schedule that eliminates conflicts between local Pro Late Model events and CARS Tour West events. This strategic planning ensures that participants can seamlessly compete for both their home track championship and the zMAX CARS Tour Pro Late Model Series West championship throughout the year without any scheduling conflicts.
The season kicks off on March 2nd at Kevin Harvick's Kern Raceway with the inaugural race weekend. The zMAX CARS Tour West aims to be a pivotal platform in the racing careers of emerging talents on the West Coast.

Founded in the fall of 2014, the zMAX CARS Tour is the Southeast’s premier asphalt Late Model series. Now under the ownership of motorsports icons Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick and Justin Marks, the zMAX CARS Tour began as a quality pavement racing series based in the Carolinas and MidAtlantic region that featured both Late Model Stock Cars and Pro Late
Models. Both premier series race on the same night at the same track, and this unique arrangement makes the zMAX CARS Tour the first organization of its kind anywhere in the country. Many of today’s stock car superstars got their start in the zMAX CARS Tour and it is a primary breeding ground for the racing champions of tomorrow.
