Kerry Madsen Produces Top 10s at Williams Grove and Lincoln

Inside Line Promotions – HAGERSTOWN, Md. (Sept. 23, 2019) – Kerry Madsen recorded a pair of top-10 finishes during Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions competition in Central Pennsylvania last weekend.

The KI Crossbows backed Big Game Motorsports team opened the action on Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, where Madsen qualified seventh quickest overall and third in his group. A heat race win earned a spot into a dash. Madsen placed fourth in his dash before capping the night with a sixth-place run in the main event.

He backed up that performance with another strong outing on Saturday at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, where the Dirt Classic began with Madsen qualifying 19th quickest. He gained two positions in both heat races to finish second and fourth, respectively, before picking up two more spots in the A Main to end the night 10th.

“We did good at Williams Grove and Lincoln,” he said. “We’re trying to get prepared for next year and we’re working on stuff. We have a lot of stuff figured out. I’m feeling really confident.”

The weekend wrapped up on Sunday at Hagerstown Speedway, where Madsen qualified fourth quickest overall and fastest in his group. He contended for second place and a spot into a dash early in his heat race before finishing fourth.

“We qualified really well,” he said. “The first laps in the heat were really good and then we dropped off the pace. We made some changes for the A Main and went the wrong way. The track was really, really slick and we just missed it. We just didn’t have grip.”

Madsen was credited with a 16th-place result in the main event.

The team is slated to compete this Friday at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, during the BeFour the Crowns Showdown and Saturday at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., during the Commonwealth Clash with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. Madsen said Big Game Motorsports will follow the remainder of the Outlaws schedule this season beginning Friday.

“I’m looking forward to getting back with the Outlaws,” he said. “We should be good at the start of the night. Hopefully we’ll keep improving and will be as strong at the end of each night.”
