Greenbush Race Park
Duray gets first Modified win at Greenbush Race Park
Night one of the Labor Day weekend racing doubleheader at the Greenbush Race Park had 107 cars sign in at the pit gate.
Jordan Duray of Halma, MN would sit on the pole and lead the 20 car field to the green. Duray would quickly capitalize on his starting spot and jump out to the early lead. Duray had about a six car length lead before the first caution flew on lap seven. With everyone on his bumper for the restart, Duray would again hold everyone off and maintain his lead. The last caution came on lap 13 and with Duray out in front, Aaron Holtan of Newfolden, MN would get by Brody Strachan of Emo, ON for the second spot. Holtan would get to the bumper of Duray in the closing laps, but it would be Duray to go on and pick up his first Modified feature win and sweep of the evening, Holtan would finish second and Dustin Wahl of Greenbush, MN third. Other heat wins went to Joe Chaplinski of Middle River, MN, Wahl, and Ward Imrie of Winnipeg, MB.
After two early caution in the 20 car Midwest Modified feature, polesitter Austin Hunter of Winnipeg, MB would grab the early lead, but on lap two Nate Reynolds of Edinburg, ND would pass Hunter coming out of corner four for the lead. Tim Kantan of Milan, MN made his first visit to the Race Park and made sure Reynold didn't run away with the race. Kantan never did challenge for the lead but he was never more than a car length away. Reynolds would go on to pick up win number seven on the year, Kantan would finish second and win his heat, and Hunter third. Other heat wins to Doyle Erickson of Bagley, MN, Aaron Blacklance of Thief River Falls, MN and Justin Olson of Thief River Falls, MN.
Jeremy Gust of Strathcona, MN would lead all 15 laps of the 15 car Street feature to pick up his second win of the year. Jesse Teunis of West St. Paul, MB would finish second and win his heat and Art Linert of Badger, MN would finish third. Other heat wins to Kyle Dykhoff of Perham, MN and Tucker Pederson of East Grand Forks, MN.
Jerome Berger lead all 15 laps in the Pure Stock feature to pick up his fourth win of the year. Larry Niebel of Ile Des Chenes, MB would finish second and Ethan Larson of Newfolden, MN third. Heat wins to Berger, Ryan Hagen of Thief River Falls, MN and A.J. Lane of Williams, MN.
Alex Truscinski of Greenbush, MN picked up his first win of the year in the 16 car Lightning Sprint feature. Alan Truscinski of Greenbush, MN finished second and Kelsi Pederson of East Grand Forks, MN third. Heat wins went to Brenden Mullin of Grand Forks, ND, Dexter Dvergsten of Greenbush, MN and Alan Truscinski.
Bill Perdonic of Winnipeg, MB would pass Jim Mulholland of Winnipeg, MB for the lead with five to go to pick up the win in the 4 Cylinders. Mulholland would finish second and Matt Pederson of Lake Park, MN third. Heat wins to Perdonic and John Current of Wilton, MN.
