Dale Hollidge Hopes To Make More Memories Friday at Georgetown Speedway ‘Clash for Cash
GEORGETOWN, DE – June 2, 2016 was a memorable night for Dale Hollidge at Georgetown Speedway.
The Mechanicsville, Md., hotshoe drove around the outside of Rick Eckert on the final lap of that nights Ultimate Super Late Model Series ‘First State 40 event to score a $5,000 payday.
This Friday (June 29), Hollidge is back hoping to make more memories at the historic half-mile oval.
Hollidge, 29, will invade for Friday nights ‘Clash for Cash which marks the first 2018 appearance by the Super Late Model division at Georgetown. The 35-lap event offers $3,500 to the winner and $350 just to take the green flag.
Hollidge will, of course, be at the wheel of Greg Gunters potent No. 0 as he will for the entire ‘Clash for Cash mini-series schedule.
The ‘Clash for Cash is a series of races put together by the promotional teams at Georgetown, Potomac Speedway in Budds Creek, Md., Winchester (Va.) Speedway, Bedford (Pa.) Speedway, Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway and Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, Del.
Each race offers a lucrative pay structure and all tracks worked together to schedule without conflicting dates.
The top-five drivers at the end of the series in the standings with perfect attendance will receive point fund cash.
A stout local field is expected to challenge invaders from across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge chasing the ‘Clash for Cash top prize.
Joining the Super Late Models on the docket are the RUSH Late Models paying $1,000 to the winner for 20 laps, plus features-only for Delaware Super Trucks, Delmarva Chargers, Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars and Little Lincolns.
Pit gates open at 4 p.m. Grandstand gates are unlocked at 5 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 6:45 p.m. Race time is 7:30 p.m.
Adult grandstand admission is $20. Seniors (ages 65 and up) and Students (ages 13-17) pay $16. Kids ages 9-12 pay $10. Children 8 and under are FREE.
Pit admission is $35 for ages 13 and up. Kids ages 6-12 pay $10. Children 5 and under pay $2.
Georgetown Speedway, originally constructed by Melvin L. Joseph in 1949, is located at the intersection of Route 113 and Speedway Road in Georgetown, Del., just miles from the Delaware beaches and less than a 40-minute drive from Ocean City, Md.
