Crate Late Models Set To Battle For Cool $1,000 Winners Share November 5 At Georgetown Speedway; Rules Allow For 602 & 604 Combinations; $100 To Start

GEORGETOWN, DE €“ A cool $1,000 winners share awaits one Crate Late Model driver at the conclusion of 20 laps Saturday, November 5 at Georgetown Speedway.

The Crate Late Model division makes its first 2016 appearance at Georgetown, the historic half-mile oval, as part of the two-day November 4-5 Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend Season Finale, featuring nine classes of stock car racing.

In just a few short days, the Crate Late Model event has grown significantly.

A sponsor who wishes to remain anonymous has stepped up to make the event $1,000 to win, with $100 just to take the green flag!

To accommodate the rules packages of neighboring speedways in Maryland and Virginia, both 604 and 602 crate engines will be permitted to take part in the event with staggered weights.

The first 602 across the line will receive a $100 cash bonus.

Complete rules for the event can be found at the following link:  http://www.thegeorgetownspeedway.com/?page_id=477

Crate Late Models will draw for heat-race starting positions with a redraw of top qualifiers for the feature. A consolation, if necessary, will set the remainder of the starting field.

The huge Mid-Atlantic Championship program will feature big-block Modifieds, small-block Modifieds, Super Late Models, Crate 602 Sportsman, Crate Late Models, Little Lincolns, Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Delmarva Chargers and Delaware Super Trucks.

Sunday (November 6) and the weekend of November 18-19 will be utilized in the event of inclement weather.

A complete weekend pricing and time breakdown can be found on the Georgetown website: http://www.thegeorgetownspeedway.com/?page_id=482
