Inside Line Promotions – FREMONT, Ohio (June 28, 2017) – Justin Adams has already climbed a very steep learning curve in his first season of 305ci sprint car racing. In fact, the 14-year-old has raced his way into five A Mains out of the last six events he has competed in recently.

“I’m getting more and more comfortable in the car,” he said. “I still need to work on my confidence a little more, but it’s coming. I’m starting to feel what the car is doing more and more. My guys are also learning with me and making good adjustments on the car.”

Adams struggled early at Fremont Speedway last Saturday when he placed sixth in a heat race. However, he rebounded to race his way into the main event with a solid third-place finish in the B Main.

“I struggled in the heat,” he said. “The car was decent at the beginning, but tightened up as the race went on and I fell back to a sixth-place finish. In the B Main we got the car back to the point I could drive it, but it wasn’t too free. The feature was rough. I just couldn’t figure out a good line to stick with. But we loaded in the trailer with a 14th-place finish.”

The 14th-place result was Adams’ best-ever finish in a winged sprint car.

Adams plans to compete with the JLH General Contractor FAST 305 Championship Series presented by Engine Pro this Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, and the following night at Fremont Speedway. He said the team has still not decided if they will continue following the series on Monday to Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio.
