Weather Forces Fremont to Cancel
Persistent rains over night and through the morning, coupled with strong winds and dropping temperatures forced Fremont Speedway officials to cancel racing for Saturday, May 14.
The speedway handed out tickets to all students in Sandusky County schools for the event. Promoter Rich Farmer said students can use these tickets toward a general admission ticket throughout the rest of the summer.
Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, May 21 for Roots Poultry Night featuring the 410 and 305 sprints, dirt trucks and late models. It is Armed Forces Night, paying tribute to all those who have served their country with $5 general admission with a valid military ID.
