Things I need to Know as a Driver in 5 Local Divisions

Things I need to know about the Snowball Derby if I am a:

 Outlaw Team

  • Best opportunity for practice will be at the Snowball Derby Preview, scheduled for November 23rd , from 10am until 7pm. All divisions will practice in rotation. There will be a practice session on race day December 7th, but unfortunately it is limited due to time constraints.
 
  • There will be a $200 Cash Bonus for fastest recorded lap after 4pm at The Preview on November 23rd . There will be a $20 Transponder Fee to be eligible.
 
  • Entry Blanks are available at www.snowballderby.com.  There is a discount for early entries. There will be a registration trailer in the pits on November 23rd  from 12 noon until 4pm. Hauler Pass Decals will be required to enter pit area on race day and will be issued at time of entry.
 
  • Hauler Parking will be same as previous years. Rigs will be staged at Interstate Fairgrounds beginning on Friday, December 6th at 4pm. At the conclusion of the Friday Night racing program, and as soon as parking lot has cleared, Outlaw rigs will be escorted into the Speedway parking area.  Estimated time is 10pm.
 
  • Pits will open on Saturday beginning at 8am. It is suggested that credentials (pit passes) be purchased earlier to avoid delays. Pit parking will be orchestrated by track officials.
 

 

  • TECH: Technical Inspections will be available at SBD Preview. Race Day inspections will be required but can be expedited with Nov 23rd  
 
  • TIRES:  Race tires are R750 Hoosier and will be available at track beginning on SBD Preview Day, Nov 23rd .  Absolutely no tire treating is allowed on any practice or race tires. Samples will be lab tested post race prior to payout.
 

 

  • Outlaw SBD is 50 Green Flag Laps. Standard FFS Race Procedures apply. Haulers must be removed from Speedway grounds at conclusion of night’s race events. Rigs may be parked at Interstate Fairgrounds until departure. No parking of rigs in track parking lot allowed except as designated.

Modified of Mayhem Team

  • Best opportunity for practice will be at the Snowball Derby Preview, scheduled for November 23rd , from 10am until 7pm. All divisions will practice in rotation. There will be a practice session on race day December 6th, but unfortunately it is limited due to time constraints.
 
  • There will be a $200 Cash Bonus for the fastest recorded lap after 4pm at The Preview on November 23rd . There will be a $20 Transponder Fee to be eligible.

  • TECH :  Technical Inspections will be available at SBD Preview. Race Day inspections will be required but can be expedited with November 23rd 
 
  • TIRES: Race tires will be impounded and released just prior to qualifying. Practice tires may be purchased and mounted at SBD Preview, or at any time Friday on race weekend.
 

 

  • Open Wheel Modified SBD is 75 Green Flag Laps. Standard MoM  Race Procedures in effect.
 
  • Haulers must be removed from Speedway grounds at conclusion of night’s race events. Rigs may be parked at Interstate Fairgrounds until departure. No parking of rigs in track parking lot allowed except as designated.

  • Early Rig staging will be at Fairgrounds. No Race Car trailers will be allowed to enter Speedway grounds until escorted by track security from Fairgrounds on Wednesday night at approximately 10pm. Thursday arrival is ok.
 
  • Refer to schedule for practice, qualifying and race times.
 

 

  • Race will be 35 Laps. Standard FFS Race Procedures apply.
 
  • All rigs must be removed from infield at conclusion of race program.

 Sportsman Team

 

  • Best opportunity for practice will be at the Snowball Derby Preview, scheduled for November 23rd, from 10am until 7pm. All divisions will practice in rotation. There will be a practice session on race day December 5th, but unfortunately it is limited due to time constraints.
 
  • There will be a $200 Cash Bonus for the fastest recorded lap after 4pm at the Preview on November 23rd. There is a $20 Transponder Fee to be eligible.
