CALIFORNIA DRIVER TO CHASE LIFE-LONG DREAM IN FLORIDA

slm-eric-richardson-kern-county-champion-2015-537x340Nashville, TN – Willie Allen Racing (W.A.R.) with Mobley Speed, has announced a driver agreement for the 2016 Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida on Saturday, December 3.

Bakersfield, California’s Eric Richardson will take the wheel for the 49th annual Snowball Derby weekend in a car prepared by Centerville, Tennessee’s, Willie Allen Racing.

Richardson, 30, the 2015 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Champion at Kern County Raceway Park (30), says running the Snowflake this year has been at the top of his bucket list for some time.

“It’s been a life-long dream to run at the Snowball Derby, and this definitely has been at the top of my bucket list,â€? said Richardson.  “When the opportunity came to run Willie’s car, we just had to find a way to make it happen.  It’s hard to find equipment of this caliber and we want to show up to be in a position to win the race.  We can do that with this car,â€? he added.

Allen expects this to be a huge weekend for his Pro Late Model team as they take a driver the caliber of Richardson to a track like Pensacola.  The team continues to build its driver development program, both in the pro and super divisions, so this is a welcomed opportunity for not only the driver, but this team.

“This is really a huge opportunity for this race team,â€? said Allen.  “When Eric came to us and asked about running one of our cars at Pensacola, we knew it would be a win-win.  We have worked hard to bring our race cars to where they are now.  We have the best equipment in the business and we have great partnerships with folks like Port City Chassis and McGunnegill engines.  Through our shock program, pull-down rig, in-house chassis dyno, and data acquisition, we feel we have more to offer than anyone out there right now.  This will be a great race for us,â€? he concluded.

Allen earlier announced an association with Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville’s 2016 Pro Late Model Champion, Cole Williams for next year.  The Allen-Williams combo will team up for a series of Super Late Model events for 2017 at Pensacola.

Sponsorships for this race with Richardson will be announced soon.  There are premium advertising spots still available on the race car for this prestigious event.

Further news on practice and testing will be forthcoming.  Richardson will begin testing at Pensacola on November 12.
