CRASH AND FIRE DURING ALLEN TURNER HYUNDAI 100

FirePhotos
The 2 drivers walked away...and were ok.  The #41 of Troy Grisaffi
of Kenner LA ignited into 20+ foot flames after being hit by #52 car
of Cody Karl of Gulfport, MS during the 100 lap season championship.
Our track photographer Tom Wilsie captured the event in a sequence of
over a dozen photos.  As the fire erupted, safety crews quickly arrived, and
contained then extinguished the blaze.  Meanwhile the 2 drivers escaped
injury...both walked away once out of the cars.  Grisaffi had to be helped
out by safety officials, was examined in the ambulance and watched the
rest of the race.
The race was red flagged immediately, and resumed after about 30 minutes.
