Grant Enfinger Hopes to Crack Into Snowball Derby Victory Lane

Two-Time ARCA Winner in 2013 Looks to Cap Off Year in Pensacola

Fairhope, Alabama driver Grant Enfinger is no stranger to winning some big races over his career. The two-time Rattler 250 Winner (2011 and 2008) picked up two victories in the ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards during the 2013 racing season and has been in contention for victories on more than one occasion in the Snowball Derby.

In 2008, after winning the pole award for the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway, he would bring home a second place finish behind Augie Grill, an event he chalks up as his best chance he's had at winning the crown jewel of Super Late Model races in the country.

"We had a car that could've won that race, but we got second," said Enfinger, 28.  "We weren't in great position that whole race. A few years ago, we were in great position, but got wrecked out. There are so many good memories of the Derby.  But winning the pole means a lot.  Everyone throws everything they have at their stuff and that was really special." .

Fast forward to the 46th annual Snowball Derby set for December 4-8th at the Pensacola, Florida half-mile and Enfinger is once again ready to go after the coveted Tom Dawson Trophy. For the 2013 version of the Derby, he'll be racing a team car to Mike Garvey for Goodson Racing.  The duo forms a potent combination in a race loaded with the best of the best throughout North America.

"Always look forward to the Snowball Derby every year," added Enfinger.  "We had a good run last year and hopefully we can do more of the same this time around.  It's been long overdue for us to win the Snowball Derby. I would love to get the monkey off our back. Last year, we had a good car, but just weren't in position when it counted. We're going to work even harder. We learned a lot this summer when we went down there."

Working with another driver that has been so close to tasting Derby success, Mike Garvey, Enfinger feels he's in the best position he's been in to win.

"Mike (Garvey) and I work well together. Over the past year or so, we've taken some good from both of us and helped each other out. More than anything we know what we're getting into.

"It's also a plus to bring in some of the people who help with my ARCA program. We all work together well." He explained. "Between the two of us we'll get it figured out."
