Shipley travels to the Land of Lincoln for Illini 100

Making his first start of the season with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series, Colin Shipley made the trek to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) on Friday afternoon for the two-day Illini 100. Drawing 46 cars, Colin timed in ninth fastest in his qualifying group before placing eighth in his heat race. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature, Shipley logged a 10th-place outing.

The following night, Shipley came in seventh in his heat, giving him one final shot at the $20,000-to-win Illini 100 with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place third or better, Colin fell short with a sixth-place finish.
