300 Raceway Set To Host 42nd Annual “Yankee Dirt Track Classic” August 21-23
Farley, Iowa: 300 Raceway (formerly Farley Speedway) in Farley, Iowa is set to host the annual premier racing event in Northeast Iowa this coming week. The 42nd Annual “Yankee Dirt Track Classic” will offer up over $100,000 in prize money to the Midwest's best Dirt Track Racers.
The “Yankee” will get underway on Wednesday, August 21st with an open practice session and an optional “King of the Hill” race in all four classes. Grandstands will open at 6 pm and will offer a free admission.
Thursday, August 22nd will see a full show in all four classes, Late Models, Modified, Sport mods and Stock Cars. Grandstands will open at 5 pm with hot laps at 6:30, racing will follow. Grandstand admission will be $15 for Adults, Students and Military will be admitted for $12, 12 and under plus 70 and Older will be admitted FREE.
Friday, August 23rd will be Championship Night with another full show in all classes being headlined by a 50 Lap Late Model Feature paying a whopping $12,000 to the winner. The Modified will also race 50 laps for $5,000 to win. Friday night the Grandstand gates will open at 4 pm with opening ceremonies slated for 7 pm. Adult admission for Friday's show will be $25, Students and Military will be $18, Kids under 12 and Seniors over 70 will be admitted FREE.
The Palace Ballroom on the 300 Raceway grounds will feature live Music following all three nights on track action. Camping spots and Back Stretch parking spots are available but are going fast, please call 563-744-3304 for availability.
