Birch Run Speedway set to honor Champions on November 1st

The 2025 season for the six oval track divisions at Birch Run Speedway, albeit limited in events due to several rainouts, is set to be celebrated on November 1st at the Birch Run/Frankenmuth Knights of Columbus Hall located just south of the track at 11105 Dixie Highway. The Awards ceremony will honor the Champions of each class, as well as second through fifth in points, and the Rookies of the Year in their respective divisions.

The O'guinn Family Funeral Homes Modifieds have David McManus crowned Champion for the fourth time in five years (2021, 2022, 2023, 2025). McManus clinched the Championship by two points over Michael Luberda Jr after coming into the final night third in points. Nick Lechota, Lonnie Saumier Jr, and Steven Pelky II finished third through fifth. Zach Johnson will be honored as the Rookie of the Year.

Dalton Worthy took the point lead at the start of the season for the True Performance and Fabrication Limited Late Models and held off a surging Josh Hahn by five points to secure his first Championship. Matt Mueller, Shawn Edmonds, and Bob Farley complete the top five. Frank Trupiano claims the Rookie of the Year.

13 points were all that separated Johnny Hayden and John Leonard for the title in the Showcase Auto Sales Street Stocks. Hayden earned the Championship on the last night of the season to go alongside his 2005 Thunder Truck Championship at Auto City Speedway. Third through fifth in points are Chaz Taylor, Duane Damon, and Larry Plamondon. The Rookie of the Year Award will be awarded to John Pollion.

Jim Miller Jr, the 2024 Finish Line Seamless Gutters Champion, pulled off the repeat as his five wins and multiple fast times propelled him to the title ahead of Bruce Dunton Jr, Anthony Duvernois, Lonnie Saumier Jr, and Bill Livesay. Duvernois' third-place finish in points secured him the Rookie of the Year title.

Darren Burton, a veteran of 40 years of racing, clinched the 2025 Backroad Beaute' Salon American Truck Championship, fending off teammate Charles Hamilton by 19 markers. Gregory Long III, Rickey Gillett, and Josh Shaw will be honored for third, fourth, and fifth. Larkyn Mcnalley is the 2025 Rookie of the Year for the class.

Mark Williamson made the trip from Whittemore to Birch Run worthwhile, as he is the 2025 Front Wheel Drive Champion. Daegan Clayton finished behind Williamson and ahead of Gavin Iseler, Emily Clayton, and Logan McCaslin. Gavin Iseler wrapped up Rookie of the Year.

The doors will open at 5:30 for a social hour and appetizers before the awards ceremony and dinner begin. General Manager Gus Engelhardt and track owner Andy Suski will be on hand to address the attendees, and Ed Inloes and Chuck Darling will emcee the event. There will be door prizes drawn at the conclusion of the night.

Tickets are on sale for $30 and can be purchased at the track office or by calling the track at 989-624-9778
