ROBERT SMITH WINS SUPER TRUCKS BY INCHES IN PHOTO FINISH
The 12-lap Super Truck race was a hotly contested event. Noah Vincent led the first two laps before Robert Reed edged on top. Vincent tucked into the second spot while Matt Esham worked into third.
Robert Smith was on a charge from tenth taking third just after halfway. The yellow was out at this point tightening the field. On the restart, Vincent used the outside groove to move back out front. Smith followed into second one lap later. Vincent and Smith went wheel to wheel in the final turn with Smith pulling out the win by inches at the wire. Vincent ended an excellent drive in second with Reed a solid third. Fourth went to Esham and pole sitter Dale Elliott held on to finish in fifth.
