KIRK LAWSON AND JERRY BARKER WIN IN LINCOLNS AND CHARGERS
Tommy Elliott led the first four laps of the `12-lap Little Lincoln Vintage feature before Kirk Lawson drove his ’57 Chevy to the front. Joe Pete followed into the second spot bringing Mel Joseph, Jr. into third.
The one and only caution came at the halfway sign when Ryan Walsen came to a stop. Elliott and Landy Adams got hung together in a battle for fourth allowing Bunky white to shoot by for the spot. Lawson would make no mistakes and hold off Pete for the win. Joseph, Jr. finished in third while White and Walsen rounded out the top five.
In the 12-lap Delmarva Charger feature, Jerry Barker took the lead form Ashley Merritt and never looked back. Geoff Carey climbed from seventh to second and was able to close on Barker but never mount a challenge. It was Barker’s third win of the second with Carey posting a personal best in second. Third went to Tanner Marvel with Jay Sipple fourth and Brett Sellers rounded out the top five.
