HILL INHERITS LEAD LATE IN RACE FOR 7TH STRAIGHT IN MOD LITES
The Mod Lite feature was a 20-lap qualifier for the Fall Championship. Curt Miles, Jr. was strong in the early stages holding off former four time champion Bandon Dennis. James Hill was working his way through from his eighth starting spot and was running in fifth behind Aaron VanVorst by lap four. Two laps later he was up to third behind Miles, Jr. and Dennis.
Dennis got by Miles, Jr. on lap seven and Hill followed into second one lap later. Tim White worked his way up into third. On lap 16 Dennis got out of shape while comfortably out front and spun. Hill was the new leader and he was able to control the final four laps to post his seventh straight win. Tim White finished in second with Steve White third. Fourth went to Miles, Jr. and Ryan Dryden rounded out the top five. Heats were won by Tim White and VanVorst.
