MEL JOSEPH, JR., JERRY BARKER & BILLY CROPPER WIN AT CAMP BARNES
Three traveling support divisions closed out the big evening of racing. Matt White led the first two circuits of the 10-lap Little Lincoln Vintage feature before Mel Joseph, Jr. moved on top. Joseph was able to hold off Landy Adams in the second half of the race to add to his Camp Barnes win total. White finished in third with Joe Pete fourth and Jordan Herbert fifth. The race was sponsored by Mike Hubbard and the Wrap Factory at Hubbard Graphix.
Jerry Barker started in fifth and took the lead from Bud Sipple on lap three. He would then drive to his second win of the season and his first Camp Barnes victory in the caution free 10-lap event. Jay Sipple would come on strong in the closing laps to finish in second with Tanner Marvel third. Fourth went to Ashley Merritt and Bud Sipple rounded out the top five.
A strong 21 truck field of Super Trucks were on hand. A hard crash in turn four on the first lap left the trucks of Matt Long and Bobby Reed heavily damaged but there were no injuries. Matthew Smith would grab the lead from pole sitter, Brian Reed and lead the first two laps before Billy Cropper would power to the front for lap three.
David Smith would take the point for the next two circuits before Cropper regained the lead for good. The pair would finish one-two with Matthew Smith holding on for third. Fourth went to Robert Smith and Dale Elliott rounded out the top five. The Delmarva Charger and Super Truck features were sponsored by Shirley Price Reality.
