MATT HILL COMES FROM 9TH TO TAKE 6TH WIN IN CRATES
In the Crate Models, Billy Thompson and Sparky White started off the night with heat race wins. In the 15-lap feature Alessa Young led the first lap before Derek Magee moved on top. Young stayed within striking distance while Matt Hill began to work though the field taking third from Mike Wilson on lap seven. By halfway Magee was out front while Hill began to pressure Young for second. Hill took second with five to go. With three to go Hill tried the outside for the lead coming off turn two but tagged the wall and had to back off. On the very next lap he performed the same move but was able to stay out of the wall and take the lead. He then drove to his sixth win of the year. Magee finished a personal best in second with Young third. Fourth went to White and Tyler Reed rounded out the top five.
