15 YEAR OLD ZAC WELLER EARNS 1ST CAREER WIN IN CRATE MODELS

Fifteen year old Zac Weller worked his way past pole sitter, Richard Harden to take the lead at the start of the 15-lap Crate Model feature. T.J. Williams quickly worked from fourth to second and rookie Charles Shawver settled into third. The race would go caution free and by halfway Tyler Reed had climbed from eighth to fourth and Robbie Walls, Jr., who had started in tenth, was running fifth.

Weller would drive the race of his life as he would make no mistakes and drive to his first career checkered in the Crate Models. Williams turned in a person best finishing in second and Shawver continued to impress in his first season finishing in third. Sparky White made a late race charge to finish in fourth and Reed rounded out the top five. Heats were won by Matt Hill and Weller.
