JASON MUSSER GETS 1ST CAREER WIN IN MOD LITE MAKEUP FEATURE
The 15-lap Mod Lite makeup feature charge from his third starting spot into the lead on lap one. Tim White was on the move and took second from Ryan Dryden on the second circuit. By halfway the top five were Musser, White, Dryden, Nick Sapp and Alan Passwater.
Although yellows would keep the field tightly bunched throughout the final six laps the order would remain unchanged. For Musser, it was his first career win since starting in the division six seasons ago. With some of the top racers in points on the road chasing national points, Musser catapulted into the point lead with his first and second place finishes. White’s second place in the second feature moved him from fourth to second in the standings. Ryan Dryden and his team deserved a lot of credit for his third place finish. Dryden rolled three times in the heat but was able to repair the car for the second main.
